Position Summary
Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our Duct Cleaning Technicians are individuals who can problem solve and complete projects from start to finish. As a Duct Cleaning Technician, you are involved with assisting the Lead Technician with completion of residential and commercial projects. Keeping job sites clean and orderly is important to ensure customer satisfaction.
Success and IncentivesSuccessful candidates will be eligible for up to a $1,000 sign‑on bonus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Laying out air hoses
- Setting up and tearing down equipment
- Assisting and operating Power Vac equipment
- Cleaning dryer vents
- Operating compressed air tools and attachments, vacuums, and motorized brushes
- Cutting and patching sheet metal
- Performing thorough cleaning of commercial kitchen exhaust systems (hoods, ducts, fans, filters)
- Safely removing grease, debris, and other buildup to meet industry and NFPA standards
- Additional duties (as assigned)
- Ability to learn and take direction from lead technician/manager
- Valid driver’s license
- Physical endurance: must be able to work in attics, climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, roofs, lifts, and confined spaces
- Attention to detail: inspecting equipment, structures, and material
- No fear of heights
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, and climb stairs
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and flexible hours (some cleanings are before/after business hours)
- On‑job training provided
Starting pay ranges from $22–30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to use hands, talk and hear. The employee must stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, and kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
