Maintenance Technician

This position conducts troubleshooting, repairs and provides preventative maintenance service.

• Implement, coordinate, and maintain Preventative Maintenance (PM) improvements, schedules and projects daily or as scheduled.
• Execute job plans that include maintenance resources, materials, tools and equipment, methods, and coordination with contracted resources and other departments.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose symptoms and effect repairs of manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
• Enter and maintain CMMS data, process maintenance work requests, and ensure effective and efficient CMMS utilization.
• Use CMMS to research parts, prepare repair orders, resource plan, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance scheduling.
• Work with other operations staff to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and ensure availability of tools and materials.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Create purchase requisitions and other instruments as needed to ensure efficient execution of job plans.
• Inform appropriate management and staff of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers.
• Ensure facility and property grounds are safe, including snow removal from sidewalks.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Work with facility staff on Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) initiatives.
• Required member of Hazwopper Team (support for handling cleanup and disposal of hazardous waste).
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma/GED plus completion of apprenticeship or training program and at least 5 years of electrician experience in industrial and/or manufacturing environments.
• Valid driver's license.

• Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
• Intermediate knowledge of CMMS software.
• Advanced ability to interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, manuals, layouts, or other visual aids.
• Advanced knowledge in welding, pipe fitting, lubrications, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, carpentry or use of tool room machines.
• Advanced mechanic skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, carpentry, and repair of production machines.
• Intermediate knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and the ability to use relevant information and judgment to determine compliance.
• Knowledge of SAP's Plant Maintenance Module.
• Ability to operate a skid steer, forklift, scissors lift and other similar sized equipment.
