Construction Maintenance Laborer

The Construction Maintenance Laborer will assist with commercial roof maintenance, inspections, and repairs. This role involves performing preventative maintenance on roofing systems, accurately reading and using a tape measure, and safely handling materials, equipment, and tools on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial roof maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on roofing systems.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Read and accurately use a tape measure.
• Handle materials, equipment, and tools on job sites.
• Identify and report roof damage, leaks, and maintenance issues.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Work at heights while utilizing proper fall protection equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist lead technicians with daily project tasks.

Essential Skills

• Mechanically inclined with basic construction knowledge.
• Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
• Experience operating common hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working on rooftops.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Construction, roofing, maintenance, or labor experience is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
