As a Ready‑Mix Driver you will deliver ready‑mixed concrete and associated products to construction job sites within a reasonable proximity due to the perishability of ready‑mixed concrete. The daily work schedule may consist of five to 10+ hour days, with overtime on both a voluntary or mandatory basis for the work week and on Saturdays, depending upon business level requirements.

• Pre‑trip inspection of ready‑mix truck pursuant to DOT regulations.
• Fills water tank before each delivery by placing rubber hose into the tank and checking that all valves are shut.
• Upon receiving delivery ticket, drive or back the truck under the plant (depending on plant configuration) and charge the mixer to receive concrete, ensuring any admixtures or other ancillary products on the ticket are added.
• Safely drive the truck to the job site and arrive with the desired slump within customer or job specifications.
• Maneuver the truck on often very unstable ground conditions and observe customer equipment and conditions safely.
• Add necessary ingredients such as fibers, chemical or foam admixtures, cements, or integral colors at the plant or job site, as well as other products.
• Place chutes from fender or hanging rack onto the main chute at the rear of the truck for discharge, then wash the chutes in the washout system or other appropriate location as directed by the contractor and put them back in the appropriate location on the truck.
• Before leaving the job site, complete all paperwork and collect moneys if necessary.
• Wash the truck with hose and brush, using cleaning solution when necessary, after each shift.
• Communicate with dispatch by a two‑way radio and the use of a truck status signaling system.
• Turn in all paperwork at the end of the shift. All cash COD must be placed in a COD envelope and a locked box.
• Call the schedule each day for the start time. Each driver is expected to perform a post‑trip inspection of the truck pursuant to DOT regulations.
• Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers, promoting and maintaining the professional image and reputation of the company and ensuring timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or
  
  B.
• Ability to pass a Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical and obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Must safely operate the truck and perform tasks that are congruent with company policy, and within state and federal laws.
