Position: Forklift Operator / Logistics
Job Description Amcor Flexibles - Mankato, Minnesota facility located at 2111 3rd Avenue has an opening in our Logistics department for a Forklift Operator supporting the converting facility. You will lead a team by assisting in the day-to-day operational efforts to ensure the core focus areas of receiving, warehouse and shipping are conducted in a productive and cost-effective manner. Excellent attendance and good communication are essential.

Hours are Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm , occasional Saturday mornings from 7:30 am to 10 am.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of Logistics Management, assist in the day-to-day operational efforts of receiving, warehousing, and shipping.

Maintain a safe work environment, through inspection and/or observation of the warehouse and all equipment used during daily activities, including but not limited to: forklifts, dock areas, product, lighting, fire extinguishers, emergency exits, aisle ways, mirrors at intersections, etc.), and all other equipment and warehouse areas.

Use Logistics Reports to identify and resolve operational issues. Report all inconsistencies or problems to  an active participant in forklift operator team meetings to keep coworkers informed on logistics department shift workflow.

Performs inventory control activities, verify product fit on loads, verifies accuracy of pick/pack and staged orders, performs warehouse consolidation efforts, and performs warehouse walk through reporting all discrepancies to Management.

Must be proficient in or able to develop proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, Amcor, Inc. programs, and other software programs that become available to Logistics  willing and capable of working an 8- or 12-hour shift schedule.

Fulfill other duties assigned by management.

Candidate must have experience in:

Forklift driving

Shipping/Receiving Hours are Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm with occasional overtime.$19.94 starting wage, with a top out pay of $28.98
