Purpose:
The ARD facilitator is responsible for coordination, planning, and preparation of compliance documents for students eligible for Special Education services to ensure federal and state timeline requirements are met. The ARD Facilitator works with the Assistant Director of Special Education to maintain data integrity for PEIMS reporting for all special needs students, including ARD dates, instructional setting, and student disability.
The ARD Facilitator serves more than one campus.
Entry Qualifications /
Education:
Bachelor’s degree – Special Education certification; bilingual preferred (Spanish)
Special Knowledge /
Skills:
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, local laws, guidelines, and procedures.
- Knowledge of instructional materials, technology, and state evaluation methods.
- Effective communication skills.
- Computer proficiency (email, internet, word processing, spreadsheets).
- Collaboration within team-based environments.
- Ability to present to diverse populations of students, parents, and community members.
- Sound judgment in decision making under difficult circumstances.
- Conflict resolution and team-building skills.
Experience: At least 3 years teaching experience, preferably in an at-risk setting, including teaching students with disabilities and diverse learning needs. Experience with eSped or other computer-based documentation systems preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
- Schedule or assist in scheduling Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and notify parents, distributing ARD calendars to committee members; ensure IEP elements are completed; inform school personnel of ARD meetings and schedule changes.
- Maintain federal/state timelines for ARD Committee functions, coordinate additional assessments, and set required timelines in collaboration with assessment team members.
- Monitor ARD paperwork completion by campus personnel per district guidelines, submit ARD paperwork to audit file within 72 hours of the meeting.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Special Education to maintain data integrity for PEIMS reporting.
- Facilitate systematic communication among special and general education staff regarding ARD decisions, IEPs, accommodations, instructional concerns, and progress.
- Assist campus administrators to ensure compliance with ARD decisions guaranteed to students with disabilities by state/federal law and local policies.
- Complete lists, forms, reports, PEIMS forms, and data required by the Special Education Office by due dates (e.g., transportation forms, ESY forms).
- Maintain current state assessment test lists, referral lists, and referrals for related services evaluation; coordinate among assessment, service providers, and related services personnel.
- Follow end-of-year procedures for folder exchanges, summer testing, etc.
- Hold staffing with teachers and administrators prior to ARD meetings.
- Conduct failure/level change ARDs when needed.
- Review all paperwork before submission to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Document significant problems with ARD Committee procedures; attend department staff meetings and relevant professional development.
- Ensure reliable attendance and dependable performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other administrator consistent with the position’s requirements.
- Demonstrate principles of the Manor ISD People Experience.

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $58,350 to $76,043 Per Year
