Pay: 25.50 an hr on W2
The Solar Technician is responsible for supporting the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility-scale solar facilities. This role focuses on diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing corrective maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational procedures. The position requires working outdoors for extended periods and participating in on‑call rotations as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on solar equipment
- Perform pad‑mounted transformer switching in accordance with all Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
- Execute corrective maintenance tasks on solar generation equipment
- Work scheduled shifts during the week and participate in on‑call coverage as required by management
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness and compliance at all times
- Perform duties in an outdoor environment for extended periods under varying weather conditions
- Complete and maintain EH&S documentation
- Accurately complete required paperwork, including:
- Work orders
- Timesheets
- Tool and PPE inventories
- Additional documentation as required
- Participate in and complete all required Pre‑Job Briefs prior to work execution
- Exposure to electrical and mechanical systems
- Requires strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures
This position requires strict compliance with all safety, environmental, and health standards. Candidates must demonstrate a strong safety‑first mindset and the ability to follow established procedures without exception.
