This position requires a hands-on engineer who can work independently as the primary quality engineer on site, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and respond quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

* Support the quality team in the timely resolution of corrective actions and ensure issues are addressed within agreed timelines.

* Drive continuous improvement in quality and reliability performance across all value streams and departments.

* Provide investigative and technical support for supplier, internal, and customer corrective actions and nonconformance activities, including containment, failure analysis, escalations, claim validation, and product purges.

* Collaborate with process owners and cross-functional teams to manage corrective action databases, prepare responses for stakeholders, drive actions to closure by due dates, and consult with other departments on issue resolution.

* Contribute to monthly reports on corrective activities and communicate trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

* Assist with internal audit program management and support the ISO 9001 quality management system.

* Support RMA, MRB, FAI, and OSTR technical and administrative activities as needed.

* Perform support and database management activities for the quality team using disciplined protocols and change practices.

* Compose and update Operational Method Sheets and other process and quality documentation to ensure clear and current instructions.

* Design, develop, specify, research, build, and implement fixtures to support new and existing assembly builds.

* Work with teams to ensure technicians are properly trained on assemblies and have complete, accurate work instructions.

* Assist in assessing supplier performance and partner with the Materials department and others to manage and eliminate recurring supplier issues, establish supplier qualification criteria, and develop strong working relationships.

* Prepare written reports for customer and supplier visits, communicate findings and corrective action plans to management, and facilitate execution of agreed actions.

* Support production and quality control supervisory duties as needed to maintain product quality and flow.

* Support, coordinate, and prepare for customer audits, ensuring all required documentation and evidence are in place.

* Serve as the primary point of contact for customer supplier quality engineers (SQEs) and other relevant stakeholders.

* Prepare and distribute meeting minutes as needed to document decisions, actions, and follow-up items.

* Host customer and supplier visits, including facility tours, technical discussions, and review of quality performance.

* Handle adversity in a patient, tactful, and persistent manner to achieve positive results when working with cross-functional teams.

* Analyze technical and process problems to determine root causes and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.

* Determine the best methods for solving problems and drive corrective action activities to full resolution.

* Prioritize work to maximize organizational benefit and align with key quality and reliability metrics.

* Interact effectively with people at all levels and communicate clearly verbally, graphically, and in writing.

* Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall quality, reliability, and operational goals.

Essential Skills

* 2-4 years of relevant work experience in quality engineering and/or reliability engineering.

* Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

* Hands-on experience with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes and nonconformance reports.

* Experience investigating claims and customer or internal nonconformance reports, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
