Medical Receptionist

Job Description

We are looking for a front desk receptionist in our office who is friendly, positive, organized, motivated, and a team player. The incumbent will work Monday to Friday in a growing, fast‑paced environment, with opening shifts as early as 7:45 am or closing shifts up to 5:30 pm. The candidate will be based primarily in Austin and may be required to cover other locations (Buda, Dripping Springs) for PTO coverage and staff training.

• Answer phone calls
• Schedule appointments for multiple locations and doctors
• Enter patient demographics, charges, and payments accurately
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and pre‑certifications
• Greet patients and visitors pleasantly and facilitate check‑in/check‑out
• Manage referrals and referral authorizations
• Confirm appointments and execute recall reminders
• Maintain the reception and waiting area
• Order office supplies
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Travel to other locations as required
• Take on other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• At least one year of customer service experience (preferred)
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fast learner with strong communication skills

• Monday to Friday
• Typical start time: 8 am
• Typical end time: 5 pm
• Work is in person (no remote work)
