Equipment Maintenance Technician

Hours 6pm to 6am

Position Summary:
Support the overall maintenance, cleanliness and safety of the facility.

Essential Functions:

Housekeeping

• Supports the production process by maintaining the cleanliness of the facility by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning surfaces. Disposes of garbage, recycling, production scraps as required by specific job duties.
• Maintains cleanliness and regular inspections of restrooms break rooms, offices and outside areas.

Preventative Maintenance

• May perform preventative maintenance such as light painting or repairs. May require some construction background for special projects, as needed.
• May have access to private or secured areas and must maintain confidentiality.

Safe and Efficient Facility Team Member

• Address and report all equipment defects or maintenance needs to maintain safe and efficient use. Follow all procedures, policies and know the equipment before using it.
• Speak up when observing something that may be unsafe or someone performing unsafe acts.
• Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures.
• Work together with other team members to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• The ability to effectively exchange information with stakeholders preferred.
• The ability to manage interactions to provide service and to support the organization preferred.

• Ability to work independently with little supervision while meeting production schedules.
• Ability to cross-train others.
• Knowledge of safety procedures while handling saws and other tools.
