Teacher and Para educator
The Mansfield Public Schools seeks dedicated and motivated people to substitute in our schools.
Qualifications- A four-year college degree is required to be a substitute teacher; a high school diploma is required to be a substitute para educator.
Upon submission of your online application, we will send you a packet of materials for you to complete and return to the Superintendent's Office, Town Hall. We will contact you to arrange for a training session once your completed paperwork has been received.
Fingerprinting / CertificationAll new substitute teachers and para educators are required to be fingerprinted through EASTCONN -- details and paperwork will be provided with your employment packet.
Compensation School Year as of January 1, 2026)- Para educator daily rate without a Bachelor's degree - $115.00
- Teacher/Para educator daily rate with a Bachelor's degree or higher - $130.00
- Certified Teacher daily rate with active teaching certificate - $155.00
