Private Music Instructor

The Town of Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department is seeking instructors to lead new and exciting one-on-one music instruction! As an instructor, duties include preparing curriculum and individualized weekly lesson plans for each student ranging in ages from 4 years to adults, and with a range of abilities from basic/beginner to advanced skills, leading instruction in a one-on-one setting for 30 minutes to 1 hour per student, communicating with parents regarding attendance policies, practicing, student progress, keeping attendance records, leading recitals, and related duties as assigned.

The Private Instructor(s) must possess an advanced knowledge in the instrument of instruction. They must have good knowledge of chronological child development, an ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with children and their parents. Good communication skills and knowledge of musical instruction techniques are also required. The Parks Department seeks an instructor who will provide positive guidance for students of all ages and abilities.

All instructor positions are part-time, hourly position with no benefits. Pay range varies by education level. Private Instructor with degree: $40 per hour Private Instructor without degree: $35 per hour Selected candidates will be subject to a background check.
