E.O. Smith High School is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct behavioral and instructional support to students with disabilities who demonstrate behavioral, social-emotional, communication, and/or adaptive needs. Working as part of a comprehensive support team, the RBT will implement individualized behavior interventions, collect and record behavioral data, and support students in developing skills that promote independence, self-regulation, communication, social interaction, and successful participation in school and community settings.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in education, psychology, behavior analysis, special education, human services, or a related field preferred. Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician or have the ability to obtain and maintain certification. Possess the ability to relate to children with special needs. Possess qualities and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with all stakeholders.

Registered Behavior Technician Responsibilities:
Implementing behavioral interventions and positive behavior support strategies. Collecting, recording, and interpreting basic behavioral data. Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team. Demonstrating strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Maintaining confidentiality and demonstrate sound professional judgment. Responding calmly and appropriately to challenging or potentially unsafe behaviors. Completing required training and maintaining all applicable certifications.
