Combined Schülerpraktikum in Eisenbahninfrastruktur

We are looking for you for a combined student internship (w/m/d) in the field of railway infrastructure at DB InfraGO AG at various locations in Thuringia. You can specify your desired period directly in the application process. Take a look behind the scenes of the German Railway and exchange ideas with our employees and trainees. You will gain insights into various vocational training occupations and thus have the opportunity to find out if one of these training occupations suits you.

• You sit not in the train but in a control center (called "control room")
• We will show you how the trains are navigated and coordinated through our network and which buttons and knobs you need to press to switch signals (traffic lights) and switches (transitions for a track change)

• You will receive insights into the areas of maintenance and repair of control and safety technology, including control room technology, signals, switch motors, and railway crossings
• You will see how our maintenance colleagues eliminate disturbances in railway operations

• You will learn how overhead lines are maintained, repaired, and de-energized
• We will show you how we ensure a safe and stable rail network

• You will see how tracks and switches are laid, our rails are checked for faults, and damaged parts are replaced
• You will gain knowledge of how the stones and gravel layers under the tracks are renewed

• You are at least 14 years old and are in the 8th to 13th grade
• Your German language skills correspond to at least the B2 language level
• A reliable work ethic as well as a sense of responsibility, punctuality, and team skills characterize you
• You have a high level of motivation and an interest in getting to know the DB InfraGO AG and the technical and electrical field
