Job Summary

Connect Pay is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Analyst to support the company’s acquisition program. This role supports sourcing, pipeline management, and deal execution—including CRM hygiene, prospecting, financial analysis, and diligence coordination—in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting & Business Development Support
    • Research and identify acquisition targets aligned to Connect Pay’s strategy.
    • Execute top-of-funnel outreach (calls, email, Linked In) and coordinate meetings with qualified prospects.
    • Conduct discovery calls using internal frameworks; capture notes, assess fit, and document next steps.
    • Guide prospects through intake and required document collection.
  • Financial Analysis & Diligence Support
    • Build and maintain Excel models to analyze historical performance and forecast key drivers.
    • Run scenario and sensitivity analysis (including “what needs to be true” cases) and summarize implications.
    • Support diligence by requesting, organizing, and tracking key target-company data and materials.
  • CRM & Data Management
    • Maintain accurate CRM records (contacts, activity notes, deal stage, and next steps) for targets and partners.
    • Produce regular pipeline reports and dashboards; track outreach metrics and conversion rates.
  • Operational Support & Technology Enablement
    • Evaluate emerging tools (e.g., AI applications, prospecting tech, automation platforms) to improve team efficiency.
    • Organize shared files and ensure clean version control across M&A documentation.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial services business development.
  • Strong Excel skills (modeling, analysis, and clean presentation of outputs).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; professional, client-ready demeanor.
  • Eagerness to learn and a self-starter with a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with poise and follow-through.
Compensation & Benefits

CP Payroll believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of this role’s hiring base salary range is $80,000 - 95,000. The actual salary will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s education, training, experience, location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, all CP Payroll team members receive equity and participate in either an annual bonus plan, based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.

This role is eligible for an annual bonus with a target of 5% of base salary, based on company and individual performance.
