Surgical Assistant

Our office, Massachusetts Oral Surgery - Mansfield in Mansfield, MA is looking for a qualified Surgical Assistant. Needed to travel to Norwood and Mansfield offices.

We are looking for a talented and skilled Surgical Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world‑class specialty experience for every patient. • Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and assisting as required.
• Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
• Monitor and record patient vitals and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and provide post‑operative instructions and materials to patients.
• Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.

As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate and coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.

You are a resourceful Surgical Assistant who loves helping patients receive the experience they deserve and helping the Dentist to provide it. You're excited by the prospect of a patient leaving your office healthier, stronger, and happier each day. You’re a kind, passionate and collaborative problem‑solver who is able to proactively adjust to shifting priorities and value the chance to make an important impact.

You also have the following:

• At least 1–2 years of experience as surgical assistant; specialty experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non‑surgical tasks.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Well‑organized and reliable.
• A high school diploma.
• A certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law).
• An active state radiology license (if required by law).

Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (travel to Norwood and Mansfield offices).

Position Base Pay Range: $28 – $34 USD.
