Job DescriptionSpecial Education Teacher – One Year Position (2026–2027 School Year)
Responsibilities- Serve as the special education liaison for an assigned caseload of students
- Teach small group and co‑teach inclusion courses
- Participate in, and at times, chair, team meetings
- Write and amend IEPs as necessary
- Attend planning meetings as assigned
- Maintain student confidentiality
- Teach students needing social and emotional support
- Collaborate with support staff such as School Adjustment Counselor/Social Worker, School Psychologist, Teachers, and Paraprofessionals
- MA DESE licensure:
Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities, PreK–8 - SEI endorsement required
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
Salary and Benefits are consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the School Committee of the Town of Mansfield and the Mansfield Educators Association. Salary placement is based on education and experience. Salary schedule can be found on the school website.
