School wide Support Teacher (Floating Teacher / Teacher Assistant) – Early Childhood Education

We’re hiring a compassionate and flexible School wide Support Teacher to join our team in Mansfield, MA. In this role, you’ll support infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, stepping in where needed to provide high-quality childcare and consistency for both children and teachers.

EEC Preschool Teacher Certification or CDA required, dual Teacher Certification (Infant/Toddler and Preschool) preferredA minimum of one year experience in a daycare, preschool, center-based or private school settingAn engaging and energetic demeanor and a love for helping young children meet and exceed their developmental goalsAvailability to work Monday through Friday until 5:00 pm requiredAbility to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the childrenAbility to lift up to 50lbsAbility to stand up to 90% of the workdayAttentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindsetProviding substitute coverage when Teachers are either out sick, completing planning time, in need of a bathroom break, lunch break, or any other coverage throughout the day.Assisting Classroom Teachers with the routine opening/closing of the classroom, including but not limited to wiping down the toys, cleaning the tables, vacuuming the room, sanitizing the room (after all children have left), and overall preparation of the classroom for the next morning.Providing classroom assistance to support teachers as needed throughout the day, including but not limited to preparing materials for classroom lesson plans, engaging with students in free play, assisting with daily projects, supervising/zoning during outdoor time, helping with bathroom needs and diapering, snack and lunch time assistance (heating up lunches, cutting up food, helping open containers, supervision), naptime assistance, etc.Adhering to the daily classroom schedule while assisting teachers.Maintaining cleanliness of the school throughout the day including, but not limited to, cleaning staff kitchen areas, lobbies, staff and classroom bathrooms, using the zono-machine (if applicable to your school), emptying trash and disposing in dumpster, assist with laundry and organizing/putting away nap mats.Encouraging children's participation by providing age-appropriate interactive activities.Maintaining EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.Attending monthly staff meetings.Creating a fun and safe learning environment.Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.Paid sick time13 paid holidays*, plus a guaranteed paid week-long winter breakPaid snow days and vacation time*Medical, dental, and vision insurance*Long-term disabilityCompany-paid life insurance with additional voluntary coverageParental leaveChild care discount ($25/day)Weekly pay and direct depositReferral and enrollment bonusesClassroom tabletsA budget for classroom suppliesPaid classroom planning timeFree coffee and teaTeachers’ lounge and break roomMentor programTeacher appreciation eventsTeam building activitiesHoliday parties and seasonal eventsSchool community outreach projects
