Chex Finer Foods, a leading distributor providing specialty and natural products to independent and chain retailers, is accepting applications for a Forklift Operator.

• First Shift: Monday through Friday, 11AM - 8PM, 5 days a week
• Overtime required as business dictates
• Starting rate: $20.00/hour (depends on experience)

• Replenish bins, full pallets, half pallets, and hand stacks
• Identify damaged products and remove from stock for disposal or repacking
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and notify manager of any defects
• Assist in filling out-of-stock items on previously selected orders
• Use RF scanner to complete multi-step inventory moves
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment within the facility

• Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 125 pounds

• Proven experience as a forklift operator
• Ability to perform in a production-measured environment where accuracy is essential
• Ability to operate a riding pallet jack safely required
• Reach truck experience preferred
• Ride-on pallet jack experience preferred
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Valid certification to operate forklifts
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a team player

Additional Information

All hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check. Ongoing drug screens are required.
