Responsibilities
- Plan and perform a sequence of operations for inspection using all types of measuring apparatus such as micrometers, verniers, height and depth gages, sine plate, trammels, optical comparator, moly test kit, air gages, etc.
- Perform first piece, part, bench and periodic inspection as necessary within the limit of standard practice. Determine reasons for defects or malfunctions and effect of deviation on product requirements.
- Makes dimensional, mechanical and visual inspection of assemblies, sub-assemblies, finished and semi-finished components and parts for size, correct material, finished appearance and other pertinent requirements.
- Devise dimensional gaging set ups, do part layout inspection, make out report and rejection slips and record data to Crosby specifications.
- Will qualify as Level II for liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic and PMI inspections and inspection operations to the requirements of Crosby’s qualification programs.
- Perform PMI programming and maintenance and calibration of all precision tools, gages and equipment under calibration control. Ability to follow and implement special quality instructions and procedures.
- Accompany customer inspectors visiting the plant for review of inspection requirements, pertinent records and testing of customer products. Refer all unusual or critical cases to supervisor for inspection.
You are an experienced inspector who understands the importance of learning and following the guidelines required to produce quality work.
Qualifications- High School diploma, or equivalent
- 1-2 years working in a Quality Inspection role in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using a variety of measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, height and depth gages, moly test kit, etc.
- Experience in training and/or execution of NDT including liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic and PMI inspections.

- Pay range: $32.91 to $35.62 per hour
