Summary DescriptionThe Clean Room Assembly Packaging Operator II will be responsible for using computer‑controlled and manual equipment to assemble and test components and products, and operating manufacturing equipment such as heat treat furnaces, automated cleaning and passivization equipment, media blast, and hand deburring tools to established specifications and requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Complete tasks including dimensional and visual inspections per print specifications, including First Article inspections.
- Perform operations as described by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) demonstrating consistently effective job performance encompassing good quality, productivity, and dependability.
- Accurately record and enter required information and data into manufacturing documentation and into manufacturing computers, including quality inspection data and individual training records.
- Ensure personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, as well as ISO and FDA compliance. Complete all applicable training requirements.
- Communicate problems and opportunities to supervisor, technician or engineer in a timely manner.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment and equipment.
- Participate in team‑based process improvement activities. Provide suggestions for manufacturing improvements.
- Assist in maintaining supplies needed for production area.
- Work closely with other manufacturing support areas to coordinate activities within the manufacturing area.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience in Production, Operations, Manufacturing, and/or related discipline is required.
- Experience working with the inspection, assembly, and functional testing of manufactured components and assemblies is preferred.
- Experience working in a Medical Device manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or another regulated environment is preferred.
- Basic mechanical and computer skills are required.
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- The ability to communicate effectively (read, write and speak) in English is required.
- Basic math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages and work with decimals, is required.
- The ability to stand and/or walk more than 80% of the time is required.
- The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to utilize a computer, telephone, fax and copy machine as well as other general office equipment. Strong computer skills are required.
Salary and BenefitsHourly pay: $21.12 – $27.98 USD. Employees may also be eligible for variable compensation such as bonus, commission, or equity. Eligible employees may participate in company‑sponsored benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, and a 401(k) savings plan.
