Position Overview
Adecco is currently assisting a local customer in their search for Clean Room Manufacturing Operator positions in Braintree, MA. - The Machinist will be responsible for operating computer-controlled manufacturing equipment including Swiss lathes, automated parts washers, grinders, honing equipment, and centerless grinders to produce precision components to established specifications.
- Set up, operate, and perform basic troubleshooting on machining equipment while ensuring product quality and adherence to production standards.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) in accordance with print specifications, including First Article inspections.
- Follow SOPs and GMPs to ensure consistent quality, productivity, and compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Accurately record production and quality data in manufacturing systems, including inspection results and required documentation.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, ISO, and FDA regulations while working in a clean and controlled manufacturing environment.
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- 0-3 years of experience in machining, manufacturing, production, or operating CNC or computer-controlled equipment.
- Hands‑on experience with machining equipment such as Citizen Lathes, Haas Grinders, Sunnen Hone, Centerless Grinders, or similar.
- Experience performing dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, or gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings or blueprints.
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as medical device manufacturing or under GMP standards.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills, including the ability to enter and track data in manufacturing systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and work both independently and within a team environment.
- Must be comfortable working with cow skin as part of the daily job.
Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
