The Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in sustainable food packaging solutions, is seeking a Process Technician to join their day shift team in Mansfield, MA. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with experience in thermoforming or plastics manufacturing, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to grow within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor thermoforming production lines including setups, changeovers, and quality inspections.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues to reduce downtime and maintain production goals.
- Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance cycle times and reduce material waste.
- Train and mentor team members on machine operation, safety, and standard procedures.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications (Must-Have):
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification a plus) 2+ years of hands-on experience in plastics or thermoforming manufacturing Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting abilities Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Commitment to safety and adherence to quality standards
Preferred Qualifications:
College degree or formal technical training Certified Production Technician (CPT), OSHA 10/30 certification Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement background Experience training or mentoring production staff
