We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Quality Assurance professional who enjoys collaborating cross‑functionally to get the job done. The Quality Assurance Engineer at Emerson is part of a team responsible for establishing and maintaining the Quality Management System in accordance with the various Quality Assurance Manuals and all other applicable specifications.
Responsibilities- Schedule, perform, and document internal and external audits.
- Participate in customer and regulatory agency audits.
- Support achievement of business performance goals through data acquisition and analysis, scrap and rework reduction, and continual process improvement.
- Develop nondestructive examination procedures in accordance with applicable codes and specifications.
- Review Certified Material Test Reports for chemical composition and mechanical property compliance to material standards.
- Train internal personnel in QA program requirements.
- Initiate and close corrective actions.
- Approve disposition of nonconforming material through Material Rejection Notice process.
- Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports relating to internal process quality and efficiency, supplier quality, and status of corrective actions.
- Maintain quality records.
- Review vendor purchase order requirements for compliance to quality and engineering specifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering; or 5–7 years of relevant work experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or similar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain customer relationships.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided.
- ASME, ANSI, AWS and military specifications knowledge.
- ASME Section IX knowledge and experience.
- NQA‑1 Lead Auditor qualification.
