Job Summary
:

The Class A Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods. This position is critical in our supply chain to make sure goods are received and delivered in a timely manner to our warehouse and retailers. Primary responsibilities include supporting our drayage business to ensure timely receipt and delivery of containers from the Port of Boston.

Essential Functions
:
  • Safe and efficient operation of a Class A vehicle for the timely delivery of goods to our customers.
  • Retrieving and delivering containers from the Port of Boston.
  • Communicating and coordinating effectively with dispatchers and other customer or team members.
  • Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
  • Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are checked and corrected before driving.
  • Securing/handling of cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
Skills and Qualifications
:
  • 3+ years with no at fault RMV/DMV accidents or violations reported.
  • Proven reliability.
  • Ability to follow safety best practices.
  • Ability to speak sufficient English to communicate clearly.
  • Must have CDL Class

    A.
  • Must have a TWIC Card.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds is required.
  • Ability to perform all physical requirements listed below.
