Shipping Warehouse AssociateThe Shipping Warehouse Associate is responsible for the coordination of movement of inventory to the Sterilization Facility and to other Integra Distribution Warehouses. The role involves solving diverse problems, analyzing situations or data, and exercising judgment within defined policies and practices. The employee generally receives minimal instructions from the manager on routine work and receives general instructions on new assignments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Assemble customer orders by accurately picking and counting items to fill orders from the correct stock location, placing items on pallets or in containers.
- Prepare items for shipment by verifying item number, description, lot number and quantity for accuracy against customer orders; report any discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
- Check orders and shipments for accuracy.
- Conform packaging to company criteria and standards, packing and securing items in the appropriate size shipping container.
- Use a handheld scanner to facilitate the order picking process.
- Inspect items for label accuracy.
- Affix labels and shipping information on packaging and onto shipping documentation.
- Generate packing lists from the WMS system.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, technical school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience in a shipping, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Attentive to detail, organized, and self‑directed with good problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Previous picking and packing experience; forklift experience is a plus.
- Fed Ex Ship Manager experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor.
- Responsible for accurate computer transactions for all material movements.
- Ability to lift and or move objects up to 50–70 lbs without mechanical means.
- Backup and/or assist in receiving/stockroom when workload warrants, or absent a colleague.
- Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and other applicable standards; computer experience including MS Word, Excel, and Oracle MRP is a plus.
- Ensure all inventory transactions are processed accordingly and in a timely manner.
- Load outbound freight; organize and maintain finished goods inventory.
- Make recommendations for policies and procedures that will improve quality, cycle time, and streamline material movements.
- Maintain OSHA safety and cleanliness practices.
- Operate computer for data entry and retrieval.
- Assure compliance with company SOPs and policies.
- Attend departmental team meetings as necessary.
- Keep full records of material transactions in designated areas.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
The employee must repeatedly sit, listen, speak, kneel, and bend; periodically lift or move up to 60 lbs and transfer such weight up and down flights of stairs. Carrying heavy weights on two‑wheel dollies and pallet jacks is also required. Reasonable accommodations may be made in accordance with the ADA.
Compensation and Benefits- Salary: $21.12 – $27.98 USD per hour.
