Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our team in the lumber industry. This role involves inspecting, handling, and organizing various types of lumber and related materials. Forklift experience is preferred, as daily duties include pulling orders, putting away and picking material, and packaging for shipment.
Mid Day Shift: Starting at 12 Noon!
Key Responsibilities- Carefully inspect lumber and materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies
- Pull lumber orders accurately based on load lists or customer requirements
- Pick materials for production or shipment
- Safely and efficiently put away materials in designated yard or warehouse locations
- Package and secure materials for shipment or customer pickup
- Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment (if certified)
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Previous experience in a warehouse or yard handling lumber or building materials
- Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with heavy and oversized materials
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a lumber yard environment
- Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
$22 per hour
