Senior Staff Accountant

Summary:

The Senior Staff Accountant assists in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This role reports to the Accounting Manager.

Primary

Job Responsibilities:

* Responsible for managing various entities in Quick Books

* Research and provide recommendations on new software solutions to support business needs

* Assist with preparation and review of W-2's, W-3's and annual reconciliations

* Assist with the preparation and review of general ledger account reconciliations

* Provide support for multiple external audits, which include financial, ESOP, 401k and insurance

* Streamline OCIP/CCIP reporting and policy management

* Help support overall team development including developing SOP's within the department

* Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment

* Other duties as assigned

This position is available in either Mansfield or Columbus, and occasional travel between these offices may be required.

Senior Staff Accountant

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in related field, or five years of equivalent work experience

* Minimum of five years of accounting experience

* Construction accounting experience preferred

* Experience using a PC (Microsoft Suite, Adobe, Vista by Viewpoint a plus)

* Must be detail oriented

* Excellent communication skills

* Ability to work in a team environment

* Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
