What You'll Do:

* Provides instruction in business office education (e.g., typing, general business) and individual assistance

* Assesses educational needs of inmates

* Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training

* Provides instruction and individual assistance

* Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators

* Maintains discipline and/or security

* Counsels' students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems.

* Attends meetings as required

* Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress)

* Inventories and orders supply and materials needed

* Researches, selects and recommends new teaching materials.

* Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development

* Performs other duties as assigned

Must meet eligibility requirements for Teacher Certificate/License appropriate for career-tech administrative office tech & grade level as assigned*;
Teacher 1, 71371, must also have baccalaureate degree or less per OEA agreement.

NOTE:

Applicant must successfully obtain Teacher Certificate or License prior to employment.
