Product Configuration Analyst
—to support our continued growth and product complexity. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain rules-based product configuration solutions that enable accurate, efficient, and intuitive configuration experiences—similar to configuring a custom computer or vehicle. You will translate complex product structures, options, and constraints into logical configuration rules within Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) systems, working closely with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Sales.
& Technical Development
- Configure and support product configurator and/or CPQ platforms
- Decision trees
- Logic expressions
- Scripting or configuration languages (tool-dependent)
- Integrate configurators with:
- ERP systems
- CRM systems
- Pricing and quoting tools
- Website and pump selection systems
- Test and validate configuration logic for accuracy, completeness, and edge cases
- Troubleshoot configuration errors and rule conflicts
- Support new product introductions, product changes, and enhancements
- Maintain version control and change management for configuration models
- Participate in or conduct training sessions and webinars
- Train others to serve as system backups
- Strong understanding of programming logic, including writing and debugging code
- Ability to model complex logic using conditional rules
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications
- Customer-focused mindset (internal and external)
- Ability to lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Associate’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Business with strong mechanical aptitude or programming background will also be considered
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment preferred
- Experience with CPQ applications
- Experience with ERP and e-commerce systems strongly preferred
- Experience designing or programming rule-based logic (if/then rules, constraints, dependencies)
