MSG continues to grow and is excited to add a Transportation Engineer to the Mansfield, OH team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑to‑mid‑level engineer to work on roadway and aviation projects while learning from experienced professionals and building a rewarding career.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Design, analyze and develop transportation infrastructure projects that improve community mobility.
  • Support senior engineers and project managers in preparing transportation design plans for state, municipal, commercial, industrial and residential projects within a 3D digital environment.
  • Perform and review design calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Contribute to the development of design packages, including roadway geometry, drainage, grading and plan preparation.
  • Assist with early project phases such as feasibility studies, permitting and cost estimating.
  • Support aviation projects, contributing to runway and airfield design and analysis.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Successful completion of the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
  • Experience working with Open Roads Designer.
  • Familiarity with ODOT Design Standards.
  • A strong attention to detail, problem‑solving mindset, and eagerness to grow technical and project management skills.
