Engineering Lecturer (9M) Mansfield Campus
The Ohio State University invites you to apply for a position in the Mansfield campus administration department. The key responsibilities include teaching engineering-related courses, assisting in a Physics lab, developing and improving lectures and labs, mentoring students in capstone projects, establishing relationships with local industry, managing labs and equipment, assisting in recruitment and retention of students, and participating in outreach efforts.
Job requirements include a degree in Engineering Technology or Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, with a Masters or PhD required. Professional certifications are advantageous. Preferred experience includes 5+ years of industry hands-on experience, teaching or training experience, communication skills, and leadership qualities. Strong competency in two or more of the following areas is also required: integration of automation systems, programming languages, CAD or other modeling software, Six Sigma, manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and industry best practices.
Ability to assist with Physics lab instruction is also needed.
The position is located in Ovalwood Hall (0625) and is a regular position with 40 scheduled hours per week in the first shift.
