, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals while leading a dedicated dietary team.

Be a light — to residents, families, and your fellow team members. What You’ll Do
  • Oversee daily dietary operations, including meal preparation, service, and sanitation
  • Develop and implement menus that meet regulatory standards and resident nutritional needs
  • Ensure all meals comply with physician orders, special diets, and texture modifications
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control, and resident satisfaction
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate dietary team members
  • Maintain compliance with sanitation, infection control, and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs and waste
  • Maintain accurate records for purchases, deliveries, and departmental reporting
  • Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support resident nutrition
  • Participate in surveys, inspections, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Respond to resident and family concerns related to dietary services
What You Bring
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential — required
  • Serv Safe Certification — required
  • Minimum 2 years of food service management experience, preferably in long-term care or healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, special diets, food safety, and sanitation standards

    Understanding of federal and state dietary regulations in skilled nursing
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets, inventory, and multiple priorities effectively
  • Positive, dependable, and team-focused attitude
