The Gorman-Rupp Company is looking for a Human Resources Generalist who is ready to own HR processes and be a trusted partner to employees and leaders across its many Divisions. This role goes beyond support—you’ll be responsible for making HR programs happen, from employee relations and recruiting to benefits, compliance, and performance management.

What You’ll Do

As an HR Generalist, you will:

  • Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, performance, attendance, and workplace issues
  • Independently manage employee relations matters, including investigations, documentation, and corrective action
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding activities
  • Administer benefits and leave programs (FMLA, STD, LTD)
  • Execute performance management and training initiatives
  • Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee records
  • Partner with leaders to support engagement, development, and a positive employee experience
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience in a manufacturing, multi-site, or hourly workforce environment preferred
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality
  • HRIS experience and the ability to travel
