Position SummaryCarries ultimate responsibility for branch / center operations and front office administration.
Duties And Responsibilities- Provides a safe and healthy working environment as well as the tools and equipment necessary to service our customers.
- Ensures customer service and satisfaction.
- Manages warehouse operation to maximize operational efficiency, safety and employee performance.
- Manages office staff to ensure efficiency and that the Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teammates are being met.
- Educates, trains, and develops employees.
- Manages and improves daily business processes (operations & administrative) through analysis and collaboration.
- Represents the Company to the market area.
- Partners with support functions (IT, HR, Purchasing, Sales, Credit and Accounting) to achieve objectives and continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties as related or assigned.
- Good attendance is an essential function of this job.
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience in management or marketing with a minimum of 7 years of experience in distribution or manufacturing leadership. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Steel Service Center Industry preferred. Experience should include management and operations.
Knowledge,Skills And Abilities
- Strong organizational and communication (verbal & written) skills
- Commitment to Customer Service and improving the quality of the sale to the customer
- Experience in developing budgets and business plans
- Excellent leadership, management, math and analytical skills
- Excellent Computer Skills
