Maintenance Mechanic – Truss Plant - Mansfield, OH
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support daily operations in a fast-paced truss manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on truss manufacturing equipment, saws, presses, conveyors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues to minimize downtime
- Conduct routine inspections and document maintenance activities
- Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and plant improvements
- Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and housekeeping procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude; basic electrical and welding skills a plus
- Ability to read schematics and maintenance manuals
- Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team

- Maintain equipment/machinery within tolerance of quality standards
- Train operators on correct operating and maintenance procedures
- Audit daily checks
- Maintain safe work/machine environment
- Able to read and write in their primary language
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Basic math skills
