This independent meat processing operation in north-central Ohio is adding a skilled cutter to its fabrication team due to expansion. The facility handles both wholesale and custom processing across a full range of cut types.

Schedule:

1st shift, Monday through Friday.

Compensation: $20 to $30 per hour, based on experience.

What You'll Do:

The Meat Fabrication Specialist breaks beef carcasses into primal and subprimal cuts for wholesale distribution and processes custom orders down to retail and portion-cut specifications. This role includes boning work on chucks and rounds as needed, along with grinding, packaging, labeling, and proper product storage.

This position is responsible for keeping knives sharp, clean, and properly sterilized throughout the shift, and for operating processing equipment safely and according to facility standards. The Meat Fabrication Specialist follows all HACCP and FSIS food safety and sanitation protocols without exception, assists with end-of-shift cleanup and sanitization of the fabrication room and equipment, and supports cooler organization and load-out for wholesale and custom orders as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of meat cutting or processing experience in a plant, wholesale operation, or comparable setting
• Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP requirements
• Physically able to stand a full shift, lift 50+ lbs, and work in a cold environment
• Reliable and focused with the ability to maintain consistent quality output throughout a shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong primal and subprimal breakdown skills
• Boning experience on rounds and chucks (training available for the right candidate)
