Meat Fabrication Specialist – Primal & Custom Processing

Pay: $20–$30/hour based on experience

1st Shift | Monday–Friday

A unaffiliated meat processing establishment in north-central Ohio is in need of several proficient cutters to join its fabrication crew as part of its growth initiative. The factory deals with both mass-market and personalized processing covering a wide range of cutting styles.

• Disassemble beef carcasses into primal and subprimal cuts for wholesale distribution
• Execute custom orders to retail and portion-cut standards
• Carry out boning tasks on chucks and rounds as necessary
• Manage grinding, packaging, labeling, and appropriate product storage
• Maintain sharp, clean knives and ensure proper sterilization throughout the shift
• Operate processing machinery safely and in line with facility guidelines
• Adhere to all HACCP and FSIS food safety and sanitation protocols without fail
• Aid in end-of-shift cleanup and sanitation of the fabrication area and equipment
• Assist with cooler organization and loading for wholesale and custom orders as required

• 1+ years of meat cutting or processing experience in a plant, wholesale operation, or similar environment
• Excellent primal and subprimal breakdown abilities preferred
• Experience in boning chucks and rounds is a bonus, training provided for suitable candidates
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP requirements
• Physically capable of standing for an entire shift, lifting 50+ lbs, and working in cold conditions
• Dependable and attentive with the ability to maintain high quality work throughout a production shift
• Prior experience on a production line at a larger processing facility is a benefit
