Position: Staff RN - Intermediate Care Unit (Mansfield)

Job Description Summary

Full time (36 hrs/wk), Night shift (7p-7a). Eligible for weekend and shift differential.

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health‑care settings. The RN is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing, delegates nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, and follows department policies and nursing care standards. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.

Responsibilities

and Duties
  • Assessment/Diagnosis:
    Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health‑status assessment applicable to the population (30%).
  • Outcomes Identification/Planning:
    Documents planned interventions based on diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve appropriate outcomes (30%).
  • Implementation/Evaluation:
    Evaluates response to interventions and revises plan of care based on data (20%).
  • Leadership:
    Participates in process‑improvement activities to achieve quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance goals (10%).
  • Operations:
    Focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization (10%).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio (or in good standing with a multistate compact).
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association).
  • BSN required at five years of employment.
