Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ER RN requiring an OH or compact RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details
  • Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
  • Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke Certified designations
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
  • First to float across Mansfield, Shelby, Ontario, and Ashland Emergency Departments
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Typical patient ratio of 1:4-5
  • EPIC charting system preferred
Requirements
  • Active OH or compact RN license required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • TNCC and ASLS certifications preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
  • EPIC charting experience preferred
  • Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
  • Experience with arterial line management preferred
  • Experience with central line care, blood product administration, and BiPAP/CPAP management
  • Experience interpreting ABGs and caring for ventilated patients
  • Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation monitoring
  • Experience with neurological emergencies including CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
  • Experience with trauma cases including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation, and ortho trauma
  • Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE use, and triage procedures
  • No prior travel nursing experience required
Additional Information
  • Provide emergency care across a combined adult and pediatric ED population, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric cases
  • Permanent address must be more than 100 miles from Ohio Health Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH
  • Maximum of 10 RTO days per contract, with no RTO permitted during the initial weeks of assignment
  • No references required for consideration
  • Returning Ohio Health employees must have a 366-day separation from prior employment before accepting a travel assignment
  • PRN employees may not accept travel assignments while actively employed PRN
  • Travelers are prioritized for floating across multiple ED locations
  • Attendance policy: more than one call-off may result in termination, and a no call/no show results in immediate termination
  • Free parking available in any unrestricted space with no pass required
