Inpatient Dialysis Nurse

The Inpatient Services RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse responsible for delivering and coordinating comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for dialysis patients.

They may delegate tasks to direct care staff such as RNs, LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.

Key duties include collecting and analyzing patient data, adjusting treatment plans, providing patient and family education, administering medications, and responding to emergencies.

The role involves collaborating with healthcare team members, communicating with dialysis providers, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current state licensure, CPR certification, and a minimum of 9 months of RN experience, with preferred dialysis or ICU experience.

Skills required include clinical competence, effective communication, teamwork, and ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and moving patients and equipment.

The position may involve supervision of other staff, physical demands in a healthcare setting, and participation in on-call duties.
