Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Retail Sales
Overview
The Lead Cashier is responsible for the efficiency of guest transactions and maintaining cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetics. The LC leads training of new and existing cashiers, drives loyalty results, and supports leadership on open/close register functions and associate exit inspections.
PrincipalDuties & Responsibilities Performance
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store retail and service sales goals, omni‑channel sales, guest loyalty (credit), and retail shrink.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing, and recommending Ulta products and services.
- Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
- Coordinate makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales.
- Book appointments and support in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience.
- Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures for guest readiness.
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
- Support an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests.
- Complete cashier chat ins/out and associate exit inspections as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends and product benefits during work time.
- Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta app.
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross‑training other associates.
- Lead by engaging and influencing peers to achieve peak productivity.
- Ensure cashier accountability and adhere to Ulta standards.
- Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education.
- Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
- Maintain compliance with Ulta policies, procedures, and standards.
- Adhere to the dress code.
- Complete all transactions, including returns and associate transactions, and control cash and media.
- Perform select register open/close functions as directed.
- Maintain store cleanliness and standards across all areas.
- Protect company assets and minimize loss through proper procedures.
- Execute other operational tasks as directed.
- High school diploma preferred.
- 2 years of relevant work experience (or equivalent education and experience) preferred.
- Proven delegation, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge and passion for guest service and selling competency.
- Ability to address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Experience exceeding sales goals and training new hires.
- Proficient with basic technology (POS systems, Apple devices).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment, and adapt to ambiguous situations.
Position Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be 18 years of age or older; the role cannot be held by a minor.
- Continuous mobility throughout the store, including twisting.
- Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
- Frequent lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

Benefits & CompensationPay range: $13.00 – $17.50 per hour, plus overtime as required by law. Full‑time associates are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. Part‑time associates are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
