The company operates 71 retail locations across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland and Pennsylvania, offering tools, hardware, automotive supplies, pet items, work & casual clothing, footwear, farm supplies, horse & livestock feed, bird food, lawn & garden products, and alternative heating.

• Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
• Utilize Farm Hand to receive communication and tasks from corporate office and store management.
• Greet customers as they enter or exit the store and interact with them in a pleasant, positive manner.
• Solicit customers to sign up for Family Farm and Home Programs, including loyalty program, extended warranties, add‑on initiative, financing and item of the month.
• Answer phone calls professionally; approach and assist customers in store, on company‑supported internet sites, and process special orders.
• Use the POS to checkout customers and follow all cash handling processes and procedures.
• Use On the Go to complete POGs and mass layouts in the correct locations per the store layout.
• Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
• Understand, support, and solicit customers to use financing options and utilize current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
• Assist in setting promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and any other in‑store signage as directed by store management or company officials.
• Assist in freight, recovery, and out‑of‑stock processes.
• Be responsible for achieving passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
• Maintain awareness of in‑store safety issues and shoplifting activities, and communicate potential issues to the store management team.
• Uphold and support all company loss prevention measures.
• Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently (only 18 years old and above).
• Assist in building/assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving, cash office and register area, as well as restrooms and break room.
• Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist in completing the daily operational standards checklist.
• Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by store management or company officials.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of basic computer systems.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and to reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
