Commercial Carpenters

Skillforce is searching for hardworking, reliable individuals with strong commercial carpentry experience in the following areas, metal stud framing, drywall framing and finishing, trim work and acoustical ceilings. Responsibilities:

• Installs doors, frames and hardware
• Forms and pours concrete
• Lay out and frame walls with wood or metal studs
• Hang and finishe drywall
• Install wall protection including FRP board, crash rails, corner guards, etc.
• Install acoustic ceilings
• Installs cabinets, trim and other finish carpentry
• Lays out and installs in-wall blocking
• Install roof blocking
• Hangs toilet partitions and installs restroom accessories
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective gear (PPE)
• Measure, mark, and cut materials according to instructions
• OSHA 10 preferred but not required

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of carpenter experience
• 10 Hour OSHA Certification preferred
• Ability to read building blueprints and tape
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may require overnight stays
• Ability to work at heights on scaffolding and ladders
• Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust
