Job Description

Foundations for Living is a secure residential treatment facility for youth addressing mental health and substance abuse issues. Located in Mansfield, Ohio on a rural, wooded setting, we provide a therapeutic environment for at‑risk youth.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and supervision for residents, ensuring safety and positive role modeling.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality care and support residents’ healing.
  • Support programming and activities to maintain a therapeutic environment.
  • Respond to resident needs and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
Open Interview Information

Hosting Open Interviews! Date and Time:
Tuesday, June 9; 2 pm to 4 pm. If unable to attend, schedule another time.

Location:

1 Lucas Rd, Mansfield, OH.

Items Needed:
Resume, driver’s license, social‑security card, direct deposit information, and proof of highest degree earned.

Qualities and Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Experience
  • At least one year working with at‑risk youth in a residential setting.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in challenging situations.
  • Pass a background check and drug screening.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Valid state driver’s license with appropriate endorsements.
  • CPR and First Aid certified (part of orientation).
Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use fingers or hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Requires normal vision and ability to adjust focus.

Therapeutic Hold

May occasionally be required to physically restrain clients as a last resort for protection of resident and staff.

Work Environment

Residential facility setting. Exposure to inappropriate comments, profanity, threats, defiance, or self‑destructive behaviors. Occasional exposure to weather and occasional local travel. Noise level usually quiet to moderate.
