Position Description

The Yard Worker is responsible for ensuring supplies and small equipment are delivered to the jobsites in a safe and timely manner. The Yard Worker will work closely with the Yard Coordinator on the delivery/pick up of tools and/or consumables. Regular communication with appropriate Adena personnel to reduce duplicate traffic patterns with equipment transport.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver in stock supplies to the jobsites
  • Pick up supplies from vendors and deliver to the jobsites / shop
  • Responsible for checking tools and inventory in and out based on field request
  • Maintain overall shop and yard appearance, organization and cleanliness
  • Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
  • Assist Yard Coordinator as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Position Requirements

    Desired Qualifications/

    Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Relevant work experience and training that demonstrates the desired skills needed to perform the role
  • Mechanical experience is preferred
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools
  • Meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Operate equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
  • Desire to make a positive contribution each day
  • Ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
  • Perform work in a variety of outdoor conditions as well as contending with dirt and dust
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
