Class A CDL/ Semi Driver

The Class A CDL/Semi Driver hauls construction material and equipment used in the construction process to and from various projects, both interstate and intrastate of Ohio.

Primary

Job Responsibilities:

* Loads and unloads various types of heavy equipment using various trucks and trailers

* Hauls structural steel, building materials and permitted loads

* Follows best practices to ensure that loads are secured and safe

* Inspects trucks and trailers for mechanical items and safety issues and performs preventative maintenance on the vehicles

* Operates in compliance with FMCSA safety standards

* Documents and logs work and rest periods in compliance with DOT regulations

* Plans routes and meets delivery schedules

* Ensures all safety devices on vehicles or equipment are in good working order

* Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment

* Performs other duties as assigned

Class A CDL/ Semi Driver

Desired Qualifications/

Skills:

* High School Diploma or GED required

* Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the role

* Minimum of five (5) years CDL experience

* Heavy equipment experience required

* Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record

* Must maintain Class A CDL and medical card

* Excellent communication skills

* Must possess good time management skills

* Must be self-motivated

* Ability to work in a team environment

* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

* Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
