I’m partnering with a well‑established company in Mansfield to hire a Cash Application Specialist for their Accounting team. The focus of this role is payment posting and reconciliation
—not collections. It’s a contract‑to‑hire opportunity with real potential to convert to permanent early based on performance.

• Post and reconcile high‑volume customer payments across multiple methods (lockbox, ACH, wires, checks, cards).
• Balance and reconcile batches
  ; research and resolve unapplied/misapplied payments and remittance discrepancies.
• Keep daily AR records tight (aging, unapplied items, exceptions) and elevate issues when needed.
• Partner with Accounting to support month‑end close tasks related to cash posting and GL alignment.
• Navigate the ERP to post entries, run reports, and document corrections with accuracy and speed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement—identify process gaps and help refine cash application workflows.

• 2+ years of hands‑on cash application / payment posting experience (high‑volume preferred).
• Fast, accurate 10‑key skills and strong attention to detail when reconciling payment batches.
• Comfort researching remittances and fixing exceptions with minimal hand‑holding.
• Solid Excel fundamentals for reconciliation and reporting.
