Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified OB Hospitalist Physicians for a unique multi-site locum tenens opportunity across three established hospital programs in Northeast Texas.

This is a rare cross-credentialed assignment allowing providers to support multiple facilities under one application process, creating exceptional scheduling flexibility and consistent shift availability across the region.

• Start Date: May 1, 2026
• Term: 6+ months with strong extension potential

• 24-hour shifts: 9a–9a
• ~2,017 annual deliveries
• ~2,444 OB ED visits annually
• ~370 C-section assists per year
• Annual GYN surgeries: ~53
• Procedures required: D&C, Laparoscopy
• Projected cases: 15 laparoscopies / 14 D&Cs annually

Clinical Scope Includes:

• OB ED primary coverage
• Unassigned OB/GYN ER consults
• Labor & delivery management
• C-section assists
• Inpatient rounding
• Support for community OB groups
• Simulation & safety drills

Level II NICU | High OB ED Volume

• 24-hour shifts: 10a–10a (24/7/365 coverage)
• ~260 annual deliveries
• ~1,759 OB ED visits
• ~192 C-section assists
• Annual GYN surgeries: ~61
• Procedures required:
  Laparoscopy, D&C

Program Highlights:

• OB & unassigned GYN ED consult coverage
• MFM collaboration
• Extension-of-private-practice hospitalist model
• Teaching and staff collaboration encouraged
• Current laparoscopic skills required

Level I NICU | Weekend-Focused Coverage

• 24-hour weekend shifts (Fri–Sun 9a–9a)
• ~209 annual deliveries
• ~378 OB ED visits
• Emergent GYN surgery coverage required
• Laparoscopy and D&C required

Responsibilities Include:

• In-house 24-hour coverage
• OB triage and inpatient consults
• Unassigned OB/GYN ER management
• Emergent GYN procedures (ruptured ectopic, torsion, incomplete AB, etc.)
• Coverage support for private physician groups

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified OB/GYN
• Minimum 3 years OB experience required
• Active, unrestricted Texas license
• Comfortable with 24-hour in-house model
• Proficient in laparoscopy and D&C
• High-acuity OB ED and emergent GYN experience
• Clean file strongly preferred
