School Counselor - Mansfield, Texas

Two opportunities are available to provide essential coverage during maternity leaves throughout the Fall 2026 semester. As a key member of the educational team, you'll work onsite with a diverse student population and address a range of social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Your expertise will be valued as you guide students through challenges, perform behavior threat assessments, and collaborate with administrators, families, and fellow educators.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
• Valid Texas School Counselor Certificate through SBEC (acceptable certifications include LPC, LCSW, LP, or LSSP)
• Experience working with K-12 populations in a school setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal, assessment, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of 75-85 students
• Knowledge of behavior threat assessment protocols

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive counseling services to students in grades K-12
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support academic, social, and emotional growth
• Complete behavior threat assessments and implement appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and support student success plans
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation according to district guidelines
• Participate in school-wide initiatives for positive behavior and student wellbeing
